It's been a bit quiet this month, to be fair. I'll be spending more time on DH over the next few months since I'll be done with Uni for the year very soon
Never bothered with photoshop because of the cost. Canva is okay for social media graphics but I've never used it for anything else. Gravit Designer is a decent free graphics tool for basic stuff. I tend to use that most of the time.
Overall, the song was okay but there were bits and pieces in the song which was quite nice.
Hopefully, the UK has realised now that we need exciting artists rather than the boring acts we've had previously.
I'll help fund your dream if I win the lottery. Just make sure to return the favour if you get rich one day :p
Stocks I guess. I like putting aside some money every month to invest in some companies
Yeah, I like buying expensive things that I like from time to time. As long as you can afford it, there's nothing wrong with splashing out on stuff whenever you get the chance.
What's the point in saving money if you die before getting to enjoy it?
I've never bothered with anything special for my ringtones (unless I've forgotten doing it when I was very young). Most of the time I just have my phone silenced so I don't even hear my current ringtone
Has anyone tried the power bank stations at some shops/malls? I think the ones at the mall near me are free to use but I just don't trust it enough o leave my phone there
Definitely, something I want to do again now that BCS has paused for the mid-season break. Just got to find time for it now that Stranger Things has started again!
When I was younger, I used to play a few sports (for PE obviously) and it was always fun. But now, I would much rather just watch the sports. I wouldn't mind playing once in a while but not regularly.
Same reason as to why I didn't bother with it. Not a fan of the WW2 setting again so skipped it and just stuck with Cold War. Looking forward to the MW2 later this year though!
For households, yes. It's not a popular choice since it just doesn't get hot enough times of the year to justify such a purchase. Most people just use fans when it gets really hot.
Is it bad to consider that we're technically first? Whilst the Ukraine song was decent, I feel like they definitely got quite a few sympathy votes since some people wanted to show support to them (which is alright of course)
Honestly, looking forward to it but I'm going to need to read or watch a recap because I'm forgotten most of it. I think it will be a good season though. The trailer made it look like more of a horror show, with more gore which will be interesting to see
Never got to try it out but it looked pretty good back then. It would have been quite fun to try out the Wii Sports games and to see how good I was at them.
I bought a power bank a very long time ago but didn't even use that much. I don't use one right now. I have a 13 Pro so the battery is really good and lasts for the majority of the day thankfully.
It would be lovely to get that set up some time.
I know Demon_skeith wants to hold a contest on Gaming Latest and has kindly invited DH to it. The only problem is we all need to agree on a game so if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to let us know :(
I don't think I've heard of it before. Had a quick look and it looks beautiful. Looks like it does a few things in a more simple way compared to Bootstrap as well. Definitely going to bookmark it for future reference. Thanks for sharing Nova
A very, very long time ago but I haven't touched it recently. It wasn't great back then but I would be interested in trying it out now just to see what it is like. Back then, the ACP definitely felt like it was too complicated, especially when compared to WordPress.
If it's from a good brand and it has been made well, then I absolutely would. I have a man bag from Tommy Hilfiger that is made of recycled materials. I think one of my TH jackets might be as well but I'm not 100% sure about it.
I think a good compromise to always have is to have some sort of basic internet available to everyone. Considering how many things are done online now, everyone should be able to access things like email, basic search results etc.
And if you want to do more than that, you can pay and upgrade.
Not a good amount of sleep yesterday but that's because I had to watch the BCS episode. Probably fell asleep around 2-3am and then I woke up at around 7am
Took me a while to try scampi but I really like it now. It's the same with calamari as well, didn't think I would like it but I was wrong!
Favourite radio station?
Has anyone tried Curve or a similar card? The basic idea of this card is that you can add all your other cards to it and use them through the Curve card. A bit like Apple Pay but in the form of a physical card.
Have you ever experienced losing an email address? And if so, how did you manage to lose it?
Other than just forgetting the password to old email accounts that I haven't used for a while, this is fortunately something that has not happened to me as yet.
Do your close family members (parents, wife, husband etc.) know the passcode or password to access your personal technology? Or do you prefer to only let them use it when you're about?
Makes sense. I think on some previous forums, I have mentioned that advertising should not take place via private messages but as Demon said, almost impossible to enforce it. With DH, I've never bothered with separate guidelines for private messages
Yeah but it's easier to manage if something does go wrong with a particular forum. Now if a particular password gets leaked, I don't have to worry about changing it on other forums that I use
I have random unique passwords for the non-important sites like forums so it would be near impossible to remember them all. I would say it's probably better to use a password manager than use the same password for all sites you're on.
Hell of a day for the weather over here at the moment. We had heavy rain, thunder, a bit of light rain, and then right now it's sunny with just a bit of cloud cover.
Have you guys had any issues with passwords that have been leaked onto the internet in the massive data dumps? Have you made sure to use unique passwords everywhere to avoid it?
Welcome to the community Nebulous. It's great to have you here and I do hope you have a great time with us. Let me know if you have any questions or issues :)
The FIFA loading screen for non-UT modes is in that video. Having experienced it, it's actually quite fun to mess around in an arena whilst you're waiting for the game to load
Dead tired. Just went through all my passwords saved on Chrome and moved them to Bitwarden. Also made sure to change the simple passwords and delete the old ones I don't use.
Mac n Cheese when it's done really well. Lasagne. Tortilieni. And pasta salad as long as it has some sort of meat like chicken. Would happily eat any of these dishes every day.
Not a shirt person so when I'm wearing jeans, it's either with a polo or a jumper. So I just tend to have it untucked because it looks more casual and is way more comfy.
It's a tough one Kylie but I would rather be overdressed as well. I think being underdressed would be a little too problematic and embarrassing compared to being overdressed.
I guess it's just similar to reporting a crime which anyone can do. And then the relevant authorities look into it and they ended up taking it down since it did probably break some copyright laws
Samsung was great until they started removing stuff and just wanted to copy whatever Apple was doing. The lack of SD cards, glass backs etc. is not good enough for the prices they charge, to be honest.
Agree on that. If it's well done, it can be a really nice opening to your forum but I guess it's only possible on some forums where you can have a variety of content to promote on the homepage, like articles, videos etc.
I haven't but it's something I would like to try at some point. The TV show was my first experience of the Witcher series and it was quite interesting. Probably not the best representation of the series as whole but I liked it
I am currently on my sofa, working on some Uni coursework that is due tomorrow. Just jumping on DH quickly to make sure we make the daily post target for today!
I'll have to give it a try then. The Linda McCartney ones are the only ones I've had so far so hard to compare them but it's quite close to a real burger too. It's pretty cool to have these options now.
Have you tried other meat free altneratives (sausages, meatballs etc.)?
Has anyone registered with Coinbase to receive some free cryptocurrency as part of their "Learn & Earn" programme?
You essentially get small amounts of random crypto for answering a quick question.
Essentially what Ashlynn mentioned @Demon_skeith. You only have to worry about selling products on whatever platform you use. You don't store or hold any of the actual products
I believe our first family laptop was a Dell and it was extremely bulky! It's quite funny to think about how big it was compared to my current HP laptop. I've seen a few on Amazon and they definitely look a lot better now.
I haven't bothered with a tablet.
I received a really crap one for free once when I got a phone but it was left aside without getting used much. And my current laptop is a HP Envy x360 so I can essentially turn it into a tablet when I need to and I barely use that feature so a tablet would be...
This is mainly for forum admins but have you ever set up separate guidelines for private messages? Or do you allow users to message others about whatever they want as long as it follows the basic forum guidelines?
That week ended up flying by quite quickly which was quite nice. And now we can enjoy the weekend! Happy Friday @Kylie
I hope you feel better soon Ravenfreak!
I haven't tried Impossible burgers but I have had some Linda McCartney mozzarella burgers and they're quite nice. Not a perfect replacement for meat burgers but good enough
What do you guys think about landing pages for forums?
Personally, I think it fits some forums like gaming or technology forums, and less so for general discussion forums like DH
I think you can be tough without the need to actually hit children. I just don't see how you can fix the behaviour of children by physically hitting them. The only thing it's going to lead to is them being scared of you and hiding certain things or hating you.
There was quite a lot of fuss around Elon Musk buying Twitter, with Musk also boasting quite a bit that he was ready to completely change the platform for the better.
But it now looks like he might not go ahead with it. What did you guys think about the proposed purchase?
Tough one. There are not that many canned items I am fond of but I would probably go for soup or chickpeas. You can make quite a few different things with chickpeas and you get the added bonus of it being healthy.
Technically not for most countries, including the UK but healthcare should be free, in my opinion. Struggling to think of anything that relates to the UK, to be honest.
Looks like the weather will be pretty good over here (fingers crossed) so I hope you enjoy the stay if you do decide to stay here.
What's your favourite British dish?
Not often, to be honest. When I remember to, I'll use the disk cleanup thing to get rid of some old and unused files. I usually avoid keeping things I don't use on my laptop so it's not something I need to do all the time
Does anyone else love getting discount codes for delivery services like Uber Eats?
I always tend to get 30-50% codes which makes it worthwhile ordering from them even with the service and delivery fees.
Windows 10. I like new, shiny things so it was always going to be hard to pick an older Windows operating system. 10 runs well, doesn't have any bugs (that I have experienced) and looks good.
Correcto! Winbux on the way
You're going to have to sleep next to your laptop and subscribe to this thread :p
This one might prove to be a little too difficult for you all!
Yeah, typing from quite a young age has helped me quite a bit actually. I'm not typing this with my eyes closed at the moment but I am staring at the forum header. Typing on a different laptop or desktop would completely throw me off though.
That's even better, I didn't even think of that. I think we actually have a four day weekend coming up for the Queen's Jubilee so that would be the perfect time to quick-save
Are there any gaming developers that are untouchable for you? As in, you could pre-order one of their games without even knowing much about their games, knowing you will love it?
Not sure, to be honest. Depending on the topic, you could simply say you're uncomfortable with the topic. Or just try your best to change the topic as soon as possible I guess
