It's A Me, Mario!
I have the old 1080 TI in my PC, it struggles now days with age lol
1080 TI is a very good card :) should not be struggling though, since it's an 11GB card and also it beats any low-end series cards. I rather have 1080 TI than 1660 any day.

But old cards are now old and cheaper and better to buy 3000 series new cards,

Ya i think its time i build another PC, I love my ROG laptop but i always go back to the PC when im home.
Good timing, 12th Gen CPUs are coming with new DDR5 memory sticks at 4800mhz to 6800mhz and for 16GB it's $250 :( they are very costly. Plus new 1700 sockets boards.

It's okay to switch sockets if the technology really justifies. AMD is doing the same for the next gen too. Also we now don't have much prize diff and so it's now a matter of personal preference.

I always stick with Intel, I'm on 10th Gen and my board does support 11th gen also :)

just that I would need to go to i9 11900K to be worth the upgrade.
I'm an AMD guy myself. Been running that for more than 15 years, Started with an FX50, then FX55, FX60 (one of the first dual core CPUs), and finally the FX8150 which I still run. :)
