Depends on what games, when i'm trying to focus sometimes i listen to lo-fi music. If i'm playing some racing game i will crank some rock and roll for sure.
Not really. Game music is part of the game. I don't want to ruin the immersion. For some games, I might. If its Call of Duty or League of Legends where sound isn't important.
It depends a lot on the game. With certain games like Call of Duty, you obviously can't listen to music because you will end up with a negative K/D. But with others like GTA, I either listen to my music on Spotify or the in-game music.
I find it harder to concentrate when listening to music and gaming. My brain slips off into lyric land and I lose focus on my game. But when it comes to Trucking and FLight sims it's good to hear more with the music than getting bored or ways of not getting bored.
For some mindless online shooters then yeah I would, but NS2 specifically I wont because you need to listen to footsteps and such
I won't in single-player games since I think it almost defeats the point
I do sometimes. It depends what game I'm playing because some games require you to keep the sound on so you can hear monsters and other players nearby which plays a big part in PVE and PVP titles.
I prefer to hear the game as it was intended to be played, so very rarely..
Occasionally if there's a "grindy" trophy or achievement I'm gunning for, I'll stick some music on just to try and lose some of the monotony of the task at hand.. ?
