Tough one because I usually consider French Toast as only a savoury thing, whereas with pancakes and waffles, you can have it as a savoury or sweet meal. But if I had to choose, I would go for waffles.
That's a tough one, pancakes don't always turn out good. So its a tie for me between waffles and french toast. Though french toast can easily be messed up as well.
I love all three of them, but if I had to put them in ranking order, it would be:
1.) Pancakes
2.) French Toast
3.) Waffles
A side of link sausage and bacon would go great with them, thank you.
I love french toast and pancakes equally, not such a fan of waffles really.
A bit off the topic, does anyone know why it is called French toast?
When I was a kid we always called it gypsy toast at home, and I never heard French toast until much later, and in France they call it pain perdu which translates as 'lost bread'.
I eat far more french toast from the list than anything else as that's more of a good option when it comes to eating something small to fell in a gap on a nice rainy afternoon tea time. Not sweet to have.
