Love it and looks so nice in that colour. Am I completely wrong or is that a sort of matte black on the hood?

I drive a 2017 Vauxhall Astra SRI Turbo.

Nope the entire car is completely gloss black.

So.. this happened about a week and a half ago ?



It was hit whilst parked outside my home. You can see how far it's been shifted from the road on to the pavement, and the structural and mechanical damage caused. Unsurprisingly the car was confirmed to be a write-off.

Not good. Did your insurance pay out a decent amount to get a replacement at least? Saw a Reddit post recently about a person who wasn't getting the current value of the car from their insurance even though used cars are worth more now.

Yes, in the UK insurers are supposed to use Glass' Guide for vehicle valuation.. They should only deduct if the car hasn't been well kept/maintained.

Requires a wired connection, but I probably won't use it other than long distance journeys.
