I hate the financial toll it creates but I love when family comes together. Overall, I am happy it is over.

Sad. January is the most depressing time of year: cold weather, back to work, and not a lot to look forward to until Easter !

I love Christmas and it's honestly the best thing about the year. It's the main reason why I try to save all my paid time off for December so I can just take the whole month off and enjoy it properly.

I envy you. I so wish we were allowed to take a whole month off!

To be fair, I have a day off on Friday for Uni so for every 7 days, I only have to use 4 days of my paid time off. So if you time it with bank holidays as well, you can get the whole month off.

Got you and that's a very smart way of figuring out how to get a month off. The best I can do is time my vacation to run into a holiday which gives me an extra day. Big whoopie but better than nothing.

I am happy that we walked through the Christmas season last year. It was not that happy because it was the first time that my mom was not with us. She is in heaven now. That is why we wanted to make it over as much as possible.
