Do you usually participate when it comes to Black Friday? The day after Thanksgiving retailers try to take advantage of the fact that most people are off work and they try to earn their business and this is the day when shops are in the black (not red) when it comes to their sales goals.

Are there any particular items that you're hoping you'll catch on sale?

I shop Amazon Prime for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. I'll be looking for electronic sales.

It's a bit of a joke over here in the UK unfortunately. They've tried to copy the idea from the US but don't even bother with some real discounts and deals.

Way too many companies just pump up the prices before Black Friday and then drop them down to their usual level.

It's a shame really. I'm sure Black Friday used to be very good but it's slowly become crap over the past few years.

If you're shopping on Amazon, use CamelCamelCamel to keep an eye on things you're interested in. That way you can see if the prices have been bumped up - https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/

Sales are alright if you can get a very very good deal price to product deal. But I always said this before that two or more weeks before they do a sale, they always put the cost up and then sales are on. At times you are not getting the best deal.

There are items that I have in my wish list, but unless they are going for a very good deal, I consider them. But with bills and things to pay I might have to think about the cost of living first then anything else

I keep track of prizes of items that i'm interested.. and usually i try to buy just one item. It's hard to know now.. PC parts are really a nightmare. Prob i'll try to buy accesories like a new mouse and keyboard.

I generally buy things as and when I need them instead of at specific sale dates. If I don't need something then I don't bother looking.

If you're not willing to spend like 3000 $ don't even try to upgrade your whole setup, you might just end up building a mid-term PC for less than that. The RTX 3070 performs better than the 2080 Ti. Maybe building a mid-term PC for a reasonable prize like the R5 5600x + RX 6600 XT or 3060 Ti is a good option if you really need to upgrade. Else just wait till everything normalizes.. that'll be around 2023.

Nah, I have no money. lol

I mainly just want a 2TB Samsung SSD I saw for like $180! :)

It's a bunch of commercialized and over saturated BS if you ask me (Black Friday).
