Called the cops

Once I called and reported my ex wife's former fiancé to the police because he dumped oil all over my porch. The cops didn't do anything about it because I had no surveillance footage and I couldn't prove he did it.

When my ex girlfriend false reported me to DFS. The cop that was investigating me put two and two together when it turned out to be a lie and that there was no evidence of abuse. The cop called me and asked me questions and I told him that my crazy ex girlfriend and I talked and that she confessed saying it was for revenge because I left her. He had me file a statement at the police station along with her name, phone number, and address.

What a horrible thing to do to you and your children. Did she get in trouble for this?

It's good to hear that the cop was able to put two and two together. There are so many cases out there of people being shafted just because someone else lied about abuse and the cops just taking their word for it.

I don't think he was able to do anything. I had no evidence or a recording of the phone call and DFS had no recording of the anonymous tip from her. Also, she lived 3 hours away. So it was outside of his jurisdiction. Mostly it was her word against mine.

Towards the end of my marriage. My ex wife and her sister decided to gas light me and drive me crazy.

They called the police on me just to run me off from my own apartment. The cops took it as a case of me being domestically abusive, although neither my ex wife or her sister had any marks on them or emotional trauma. Still the cops sided with them.

I really have no idea why. There was no evidence. It was a false report and that my ex sister in law made to make my life miserable. They never arrested her for that. So I don't know why this continued the way it did.

The fight was that her sister was doing illegal narcotics and her kids had traces of the drugs in their blood. My ex wife decided to adopt the kids without my say so. I said no. She called her sister over and she raised hell with me. When I asked her to "F*** off" she goes and calls the police and my ex wife sides with her. I told my ex wife that we have 2 kids that we can barely raise and to have her mother deal with it.

The apartment was clean and no sign of a fight. The cops sided with my ex sister in law and questioned me extensively about me putting my hands on her in my own home. I told the cop that I just insisted that she leave.

I didn't get arrested but they continued to push me until I had a mental breakdown and wouldn't stop crying. They called the cops again and I got an ultimatum. Spend 3 days in jail or go to the stress the unit. The doctor decided that I wasn't crazy and that it was just bullshit and a waste of her time. She told me I could go and to see marital counseling. My ex wife wanted me to stay there.

My ex wife later laughed and said that the cops were never going to arrest me. They had no evidence. It was just a ruse for me to go to the stress unit with the other crazies.

Afterwards, I'm left with a bill of 2 thousand dollars.

About a month or 2 later. She and I separate and I move in with my mother. I did fight for my apartment because she wasn't paying for it. But she bought her sociopathic sister over who has friends in the police department.

So I packed my things. Left the kids with her and moved in with my mother. A week later, I signed over the lease to her and moved into another apartment 2 months later and filed for divorce in late October and early November.

I one was robbed in the street I called the cops and they pretty much did nothing.

I feel for you. Most of the time the cops will ask if "you know who did it", and if you do know "they'll ask for evidence", and if you don't have evidence they still won't do anything about it. Sometimes they will ask for a description. After which, you never hear from them again. The cops basically have to see you being violated or have lots of witnesses saying your rights were violated via "robbed", "mugged", "stolen from", so on and so forth.
