Who remembers Club Nintendo? They announced they were shutting their service down towards the end of June, in the year of 2015. It was a loyalty scheme that Nintendo gave to their customers and rewarded users for providing their honest feedback.

As a side, I'm really glad Nintendo started doing physical rewards again. It's not the same, but it's a start.
