I see it as an ideology that sounds fine on paper, and might work for a smaller community, but when you have an entire nation, that’s when human problems come into play.
It's been shown to be a complete failure. In fact, the Communism that produces a prospering society now, in China, isn't really Communism.
Now, note, I can understand why Communism appeals to people, especially people coming from places where it's so poor, you don't want to look at it. Also, there are places like present day Puerto Rico, where the rich are drawn in with tax breaks, but it's done nothing for a huge portion of the population - which puts doubts on capitalism.

Communism does not work, period.
For those that think communism is good, I invite you to live in Cuba for a year. Then lets sit down and talk.
Of curse, go without money. Because with money you can have a good life anywhere.
I am sure some people are tired of living in a communist country. I had talked with Chinese students, and they did not want to go back to China when they had a chance to go across the border.
