For those who live in England, what are your thoughts on the "Eat Out to Help Out - Scheme"? Have you participated and took advantage of this amazing offer, yet? Some here may not be aware of this promotion which has been announced by Rishi Sunak.

It's supposed to kick-start the economy. Here's what you need to know:

1. 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner)
2. Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between August 3 and 31.
3. As many times as you like.
4. You do not need a voucher.
5. There is no minimum spend.

Used it on Tuesday. Easy and simple. Halved our lunch bill.
Interesting time to use something like this. It’s almost as if they want us to go out and spread viruses - or something.

So far my sister has been the only one to take advantage of it. It's a great scheme although I'm not too sure how helpful it is going to be in the long term if these places have to close down again because of the second wave.

Still waiting for my local steak house to open so that we can make reservations there and eat some cheap steaks :D

hate to break it to you with rising prices, its going to be anything but cheap.

Hasn't been an issue here in the UK actually. Well for my local places anyway. The only increase has been Uber Eats which has changed to a % charge for their service fee.
