From people, I feel very safe. From animals, not so much except when the black bears are hibernating. This is what the call "Black Bear Country" so you have to remain on the lookout for them post hibernation.
Not at all. I avoid it.
There are people shooting people with paintball guns and hospitalizing them.
The police still have not got them.

I don't feel particularly comfortable walking around my neighbourhood, largely because I've only lived here for a couple of months.. I've walked my partner's dog a few times, and there's a couple of dogs that seem to practically live in their respective gardens. One property seems particularly dodgy, like a drug den or something ?
Honestly, pretty safe. They do turn the street lights off at around 1-2 am though so I probably would avoid walking at that time. But it's pretty safe at the other times.
Safe, we are a very small village and mostly countryside Yorkshire moors for you I do not walk anyway other then walking around town that full of people.
