Panhandling

I never give money to the homeless, I used to work at Walmart and at the end of most of my shifts I'd see a family standing outside with a sign. It was always awkward having to see them, I always ignored them since they were known to go to other places and I heard the father actually had a job. >_> The only time I donate money is if a organization is collecting money, and even then it depends on the organization too.

I haven't given money directly to a homeless person in a long time. It doesn't help that I just don't carry money anymore. But I do donate to some charities especially recently where we had a footballer campaigning to ensure that kids were fed during the holidays.

I'm pretty picky when donating to charities though. I want my money to go to people that need help and not towards buying a nice Mercedes for the CEO.

Yeah,me either, there is some of them that are really homeless, and all that, but you really just don't know if they're being truthful or not, there was this one homeless guy, that lived at the Burger King,he was on his bike,he was always carrying all of his belongings in trash bags,he was always on his bike sitting on it,people that got their food there would always order him food and give it to him.

Yes. I give people who are asking for money, a little money. My friend said “Well they’re just going to buy drugs with it” Maybe this time might be the time they’ll buy a hamburger or something. It might be the time when they decide to pass on that bottle of liquor. Who knows. But sometimes it does a world of good to just be another human being and one who doesn’t look down on, doesn’t judge, doesn’t hate. I just say “Here.....go buy yourself a hamburger”. People are having a hard time right now.

I do, and sometimes when I'm taking my mother out and buying her lunch I'll buy extra for someone I've seen. It's true, you don't know who is genuinely homeless and who is just looking for a free handout, but I feel more comfortable giving on the chance they really are struggling and just need a little help.
