Single niche means your website is focused on a single topic, multi-niche means you publish on a lot of topics on your website. For example, if you publish only travel articles, your website is based on travel niche and is a single niche website. However, if you publish travel articles, recipe articles, finance articles, etc. your site is a multi niche.

I feel like going for a single niche is slightly better because you can focus on one thing, work on it, and try to attract users that are interested in that topic.

But of course, if you can do it efficiently, a multi-niche site can be very good since your target market will be massive.

Single niche can lower the amount of people who will be interest, but has a higher retainability. Usually you’ll have more people who are dedicated and knowledgeable on the niche, so they enjoy discussing the topic with people.

Multi-niche would usually have an opposite effect, where you can draw more people, but have a lower retainability.

It would be too time consuming to make sites on everything I like so one multi-niche site would be good with another single-niche one regarding something I'm massively passionate about to the extreme.

I honestly believe in today’s age if you want your forum to succeed, you have to have a multi-niche. We have to compete with social media & then we have to compete with other forums. When I started mine, I truly wanted mine to be JUST holistic in a secular setting. I would not have been able to grow it if I stayed on that single-niche path.

I feel like a single niche is much easier to handle than to do multiple niches. However, I also believe if you only do one niche, it could take longer to get the activity you want.
