According to you why do you think the majority of teens nowadays have mental issues and trauma compared to previous generations?

I find they think there are ‘correct’ opinions. They decide and all believe it. They’re afraid to stand out as different. Has the internet done this to people? Or is it the ban-everything-if-u-don’t-agree culture?

I think their environment plays a major role in this. A teenager’s social, school, and home environments can have an impact on their mental health. Difficulties such as abuse and neglect, divorce in the family, being bullied, poverty, learning disabilities, and struggling to fit in may all contribute to depression and anxiety.

They removed all play and socialization from schools in an attempt to cram more academics into the school day. Couple that with the fact that most of them spend all night in front of screens. As a result of these things, children do not learn how to manage their emotions or socialize with others. I think that is a huge contributing factor.

Sure, there are people with real disorders. Nonetheless, I think a lot of problems come from being raised badly. For instance, people raised "too soft" cannot cope with life.

Note, being raised soft doesn't mean cuddly necessarily, but it could just be - being ignored or even taught to do bad things along with the parents.
