I think 40 is the cutoff, personally. My mother was in her 40s when she had my sister and I, and she was a fantastic mother, but she was out of her depth when we were teens, lol.
I can't have kids, but even if I could, I'd want it to be within the next couple of years or never, at this stage.
A lot of grandparents are stuck raising their children's children (its more common than you think) so whats the difference really. I'd say if you have at least 18 years of life left in you, then go ahead and raise a child.
I know many that leave their kids with their grandparents or other family members as daycare is super expensive now.
The cost of living is not going to get any better.
I won't want to have kids anymore after I turn 30. That's because I really want to have the necessary strength required to raise them kids well till they get to adulthood.
40 would be the age for me. I've always planned to have kids in the 30-40 range. At least a couple. I'm 28, so I guess I'm creeping up on that time period of my life.
