If you are wearing a mask to avoid catching COVID-19 (Coronavirus) what type of mask are you wearing? I wear an N95 mask and have several KN95 masks as backup. The N95 masks while they filter 95% of particles are a bit more difficult to find and purchase (or you pay between $15 to $50 per mask meaning you need deep pockets to afford them) so the KN95s are a good alternative but not as tight of a fit so they're not my first choice.

I'm buying KN95s & Face Shields from https://honestppe.supply/collections/ppe-products/products/kn95-disposable-fda-ce and https://honestppe.supply/collections/ppe-products/products/face-shields

I'm buying N95s from a variety of sources as they're harder to source and you have to reward price gougers in most cases.

A bit of context on why I go the extra length to use N95+Faceshields is that I'm a T1 Diabetic and immunocompromised. As a result I get supersick easily and would be unable to fight COVID-19 on my own and would likely die from it. It's super important that I use lots of PPE whenever going out to protect myself from illnesses. The cloth masks are not going to filter enough to protect me so I have to go extra lengths there.

What about you? What type of mask do you wear?

I have a few surgical face masks in a ziploc baggy in my car, and my roommate actually picked up a resuable fabric mask from the gas station the other day. So far I think I prefer the cloth mask vs. the surgical mask.

I should also note that I don't go out very frequently. Decided to order take out last night and I went to the restaurant to pick it up (supporting local businesses...). Process was quick and easy and everyone inside was wearing a mask as well.

Just basic masks

I picked up a 50-pack of surgical masks from Costco this week. Will probably buy myself a couple more washable masks though since this is going to be around for a while.

I don't wear a mask. I have autism and sensory issues which prevent me from wearing one. As demand increases, for face coverings, the price does too, unfortunately.

How much are they going for now in the UK? Quite a lot I can imagine what with them becoming mandatory nowadays.

In Sweden, they are not mandatory and people even poke fun or laugh at those wearing masks. It is awful. I have thought about wearing a simple cloth mask but I am worried about not maintaining it well.

Some shops are selling a pack of 3 for £9.00. Amazon tends to be cheaper to buy Face Masks, compared to most retailer outlets. Face Coverings are an all-round better alternative. Not only are they better for the environment, but they also save us money and resources.

I have classic, most cheap, basic mask. It cost about dollar and that is not cheap for my standard. I can't afford any more expensive mask. Those are for one use but I still use it two or three times.
