I've significantly improved my reflexes, logical thinking, management skills and even learnt a new language from gaming. Some people say there are no benefits from gaming except fun and others even say you waste your time playing video games. But that is so wrong in my opinion.

What about you tho, what real life skills you developed or improved by playing video games?

Reflexes and language. I got logical thinking through chess mostly. :p

Probably time management, spatial awareness and problem solving.

Able to fly and learn things new and great things from the simulator point of view. Also, my communication skills that improved over the years while gaming and talking to people online.

The ability to make decisions, the ability to take calculated risks, and logical thinking are some of the skills I developed by playing games. I also developed concentration.

I've definitely developed some good skills from gaming such as reflexes, hand-eye coordination and quick mathematics because of all of the different games I have played over the years.

To be completely honest with all of you, I learned my entrepreneurship skills from gaming. I used to plan a 3D online virtual world game called Smallworlds (www.smallworlds.com), unfortunately, it's no longer active. However, when I played it, it allowed you to create you to purchase items from different people, then purchase furniture and places to turn into your own store and resell. It was an amazing game and it still breaks my heart that it's no longer around. It was by far one of the best online gaming communities I had ever been in, and it was basically a major part of my childhood.

Shame SmallWorlds would require $2 million to be recoded. An additional recurring investment of hundreds of thousands of dollars would be required thereafter to finance hosting the database of 15 million user accounts, 200 million+ items, 25 million+ avatars, and so on to bring it back.

My reflexes are something I have noticed I developed over time being a gamer. I always joke when I manage to catch something that falls before it hits the floor or when I go to dodge something that my gaming reflexes are on point but it is true that without gaming, my reflexes probably wouldn't be as good as they are now.

There are no such skills that you get from gaming and instead, you can experience depression, anxiety and even severe headaches which I used to experience when I used to play games for long hours during my childhood and teens
