What broken thing in your house have you learned to live with instead of fixing it?

When I moved out of my apartment. I didn't get the full security deposit back. I received half of it back. People had warned me that they do that and often they end up keeping a lot of it. I never trashed the apartment or put up pictures or stained the carpet. I kept it very clean. So I didn't understand why they felt entitled to it. However, I didn't get after them about it because I could be hassling them for months. Instead I felt it was best just to move on and let it go.

The electricity has been out upstairs since last spring. In that case, it's just a cell phone light and a heater hooked to an extension cord.

Honestly, I've tried to fix it but none of the circuit breakers seem connected to there.

The door on one of my kitchen cabinets won't close all the way no matter what I do. I've tried tightening the screws on the hinge but it still opens up like about an inch. So I took one of my hair ties and put it on the knob of that door and the one next to it to keep it closed.

I have learned to live with a spoilt tap in the bathroom. I control the water from the pipe outside. I turn it on when I want and off too. It doesn't flow constantly after all Iive alone.
