Good evening all :) I hope everyone is having an amazing Christmas, popping on to catch up but will be back fully tomorrow until the New Year celebrations :)
When I first was able to jump on and use the internet I always remember the first thing I did was look for websites based on a band I was a huge fan of.
After a while I got curious about creating my own websites and found Geocities and that was where my love for creating websites started :)
I don't remember ever having my hair cut when I was younger in such a way that I now regret but I do remember having my hair in pig tails as a kid, never bothered me growing up but now when I look back, it does a little.
When I was young and sharing a bedroom with my brother, I always remember we had a black and white TV which was quite small in our room. It wasn't until we got a little older and they were released that we got a TV/VCR combo in our rooms.
This is a tough one as I had always wanted to visit New York but not sure I would be able to manage living there with how cold the weather gets sometimes.
I don't think I would want to move anywhere else given the chance, instead visiting the places I would like to would be more ideal for me.
When it comes to soda for a drink, Pepsi Max always wins hands down without a doubt. I always used to be a huge Coca-Cola lover until I tried Pepsi Max and then I never went back after that.
In terms of warm drinks, it would have to be a cup of tea, nothing beats it.
One console I regret never getting as a child and only played a few times when I used to head to a friend's house was the Dreamcast.
I hear so much about how great the Dreamcast was back in the day and often wish I had been able to grow up with that console.
As a teen, I always used to love watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Saved by the Bell. It's a shame they don't make teen shows like they used to anymore when I was growing up.
As a kid, two of my favourite sodas were cherryade and irn bru.
Unfortunately, I went off irn bru quite a few years ago now when I was drinking vodka mixed with irn bru and ended up with a bad hangover the following day and was also unwell, never touched irn bru again since, even the smell...
I remember MySpace so well and also remember using it quite a lot to keep in contact with friends and family. I believe it was Facebook that ran out MySpace after a while because I used to use MySpace so much until I got a Facebook account and the next thing I knew, MySpace had died out.
Light-up shoes were so popular when I was a kid, I always remember no matter where I went, school, out with family or even on holiday, someone would have shoes that lit up.
I remember begging my parents for some when I was younger and was over the moon when I finally got some :)
I didn't have a furby as a kid but my younger brother had one, it was a Gizmo from The Gremlins that he got as a gift one year for Christmas.
We still had it until recently and now we can not seem to find it, still works as well but I will admit, can be very annoying :)
I love parties at McDonald's! Always remember having on there myself and they allowed me to go into the kitchen area to get my birthday cake at the time, it was a lot of fun.
I don't believe at least not at any of the McDonald's near me that they do parties like they used to anymore which is a...
I will admit, I do miss how simple websites looked back in the day. Nowadays you can do so much with any kind of site and I feel with the amount you can do, it can be a bit too much not only as a visitor but also as an admin to keep on top of.
I feel like this. I always remember as a kid, anything such as McDonald's or even a takeaway from our local takeaway place was a treat.
My family used to very often treat us to a McDonald's and I always remember being nearly a teenager before my brothers first had a takeaway from the local...
I remember my home phone number as a child very well. Before mobile phones, that was in most cases the only way to contact your parents if you needed to when you were out with friends such as using a phone box to call. I used it so much that I believe the number is now very much etched in my mind.
Some of my favourite pastimes from my childhood would be collecting pogs, not sure how many people remember those but they were quite popular.
Another was hanging out with my friends until it started to get dark, the street lights coming on was our curfew.
I remember dialup very well! I was around 13 when I was allowed a PC and internet connection in my bedroom and sitting and waiting for it to connect, that sound and being knocked off if your parents wanted to use the phone, proper nostalgia!
We didn't receive anything such as school yearbooks when I was in school but instead, we would get a school year photo. I still have one with a photo of my whole class and also a photo of my own as well. Not too keen on my picture in both but then again, I have never been on for having my photo...
