Accidentally hurt yourself

I had lost my right big toe nail five years ago. I was walking in the backyard to feed my fur dog when I accidentally slipped and injured it.

it is always painful when I accidentally hurt myself so I'm very careful now to avoid such

It has happened a few times and the latest was last month when I got a deep cut on the back of my hand

I had a ghastly road accident in the year 2006 and had to bed rest for six months.

I am trying to say careful as back then I used to play with kitchen knife and got cuts many times on my fingers
