Are you in debt?

I am in debt. Biggest bit is mortgage, smallish bit of it is regular stuff (Car, Renovations, Life...you know how it is).

Debt doesn't scare me as long as it is manageable and realistic.

No debt, yet every month I pay off my family member of £30 to pay back what he got on his card. I'm like £50 worth of paying off back yet. So another two weeks and that's paid off.

Other then that I'm low in my bank :(

No debt at the moment except for £40 on my credit card at the moment. But I have a direct debit to get that paid off when it's due which is not an issue. The only reason I use the credit card is to improve my credit score. And I always make sure that I am able to pay it off.

I managed to get a hold of an internship as part of my uni course so no student debt which is nice. Until I get on the property ladder and get a mortgage, there probably won't be any debt for me (hopefully, fingers crossed)

I only have Credit Card debts which are not very big deal so i'm totally okay.. also never had been into some debt i couldn't pay.

Not sure what Biden has in mind for my student debt yet.

Car payments are a pain the neck as it is without adding volumes of college debt to everything else. The courts in America need to allow people to have student loans cleared by Bankruptcy or go through a program where it's forgiven. Which is why less and less people are going to college because they don't want to be in debt for a career they may not get after college. It's the same reason why I didn't go to college. I just didn't want the headache.

I believe college is a joke. I think it's bullshit. I think college should be a place for people to learn how to make money. Not go to land yourself into thousands of dollars of debt that you can't pay back. Not every kid has super wealthy parents or grandparents that'll give them a free ride though college.

After high school I landed a good mundane job, I had my own place, had my evenings to relax or to spend time with a girl friend, hang out with my friends, or do whatever. I had decided my junior year in high school that I really couldn't do college. I wasn't a straight A student and I had problems focusing. School was hard for me.

So after high school ended. I did just that. People have told me that I was missing out. But really, anything I ever wanted to do, I went out and did. I didn't need to travel to Europe or go live it up in a over priced luxurious dream. I didn't have delusions of grandeur for a future that didn't exist like most young people do. Some people really do live in a world where they think they can do anything they want, but with what money?

Honestly, I think my pessimistic perception and my depression along with my low self esteem really saved me from falling into a pit of debt with my name on it.

I believe this video about student loans to be extremely spot on.

I learn this a bit the hard way. I went in for IT, thought it be a breeze getting a job once out. Nope, dozens of interviews and 2 years of struggle to finally get a job only via family connections. The degree still helped but I've endured a lot of mental exhaust that shows.

My friend was not so lucky, he went into graphic design, which is a dead market right now and well over saturated. He traveled to different states, and applied to every job and now five years later he might finally be getting an internship but still knee-high in debt he barely paid back. It's BS.

Now I am more than happy to pay back what is owed but a lot of the money I had to pay was for BS classes just to entitle the college, which for example I had to take four english classes? Why?!

psh, where you living that can happen?
I know right. I'm in London and honestly getting a mortgage at this point seems impossible. There aren't many options if you're single so you have to hope to have a partner that is willing to go 50/50 on a house at some point.

Both have to be making a pretty decent amount as well if you want a flat in London ?

I am debt free at this time. Made my last truck payment last month.

Nope, I don't like the feeling of being in debt so I don't even want to be in debt hopefully it works out just the way I want it.

No, I am not in debt. I have already paid off my home mortgage loan ten years ago. I do not like borrowing money except I use credit cards for cashback. But I do make payment in full every month. Never paid any interest.
