It's time for me to start making some soups. I put some in the freezer for people at church and am always looking for those that hold up well to the freezer/microwave routine. Suggestions?

Butternut squash is always a nice one! Broccoli soup never fails, simple and fresh. a nice red lentil curry soup is wonderful on an autumnal almost wintery night, as well. Pasta e Fagiole is great, too, nice and hearty, and it's never a bad time for a good minestrone!
Not really cutting down if you're cheating, lolMmm I love pasta e fagioli! I make it with sausage and peppers. My husband is watching his cholesterol, so I've been making everything with chicken or turkey. He's tired of it already and it hasn't been too long LOL Plus, he's cheated a few times, so he's not really suffering.

He makes a valid point! How can he be an impartial participant if he doesn't try every single one of them? lolThere was a chili cook off at work, so he HAD to sample it all

See? A man of impeccable taste. The judges needed his expertiseAnd I think he did try every single one of them! LOL His favorite actually won the contest because it was made with brisket.
Chili always makes sense while watching football this time of year. I especially love white chicken chili.
We've had that a couple of times, but my husband prefers beef chili over any other kind. He was surprised when I used ground turkey (ground it myself!) the last time I made chili though.
I don't do turkey as a substitute. Maybe I will when I become more health conscious. Have you had Outback's chili before? I love it. No beans, just meat.
