Cash or Card?

I completely agree with you. Most retailers now don't like customers paying by cash due to the coronavirus outbreak. Some have even gone as far as banning their customers from paying with coins and notes.
Yeah, of course with the pandemic people will try and avoid paying with cash or coins due to meeting of hands, likely exchange of virus, but some idiots will still do it.

I prefer card as its usually contactless and convenient and saves me holding up a queue whilst looking for the right change. I'm incredibly conscious about holding up queues. Especially when the cashier goes to fast and I struggle to pack quickly.

Plus nowadays, with covid, contactless transactions are even more important.

+1 on that. Lidl and Aldi seem to have this problem a lot where the cashier gets everything scanned in a few seconds and you feel awful for holding up the queue lol

I always have some cash but not too much, not even $50, to pay food or in places where i can't use my debit card, it's free to use any ATM so i got used to it.

I've been using debit cards since the mid 2000's. I needed a bank account/ debit card because a lot of bills are online and everything is online today. If I lose my debit card I can have it shut off. If I lose a wallet full of cash, that's hard earned money lost that I'll never get back.
