Many sites have problems when others stole content and earn from it on other websites. Webmasters try protect content on many ways.
One of it disable right click option in browser. This way somebody can't just select content and copy it. There are some plugins for Wordpress which can do that for you. This way can be bypassed but at least it stop beginners from stealing content or they must retype it.

How do you protect content on your site?

disable right-click option in the browser doesn't stop them LOL They use the Dev Tool to copy and or disable it from there end

It stops some begginers. At least they must retype entire text. Some just disable select option and copy option.

Honestly, I have had way too many instances of people copying stuff I wrote, just to make their lives easier for content for them to make. Unless I am already a part of their community, I will get on their case if I notice it (or if it is brought to my attention). There has been a few times where I had to threaten reporting them to get the content deleted.

And did they remove your content? Did you had idea report them to Google so Google can put flag on domain? How about lawsuits?
Most of them removed the content, after I noticed. I think I had to report 3-5 of them in all to their hosts. The hosts that took it seriously, deleted the sites, and forced them to switch to new hosts. Never had to do a lawsuit.

What if stolen content is on DMCA ignore hosting? Some hosting just ignore reports. I don't know what should be done in that moment. Lawsuit for few text articles, I don't think it is worth.

There are some sites that disable the right click and it's honestly the most annoying thing ever. But it's also the easiest thing to circumvent. There's not much you can do to protect your content really unless it's something that can be copyrighted like graphics or artwork.

Honestly, I can tell when interacting with someone, if they may be part of some sketchy website. I generally will try my best to limit interaction with those people, but it doesn't work all the time. I have also gotten to the point where there are some things that I produce, that I expect others to mimic. That generally happens if there is something exciting that is happening.

For graphics, sometimes watermarks are necessary. You can make them so they're practically invisible these days and then the thief panics when you tell him to hunt for the watermark or he could get in big trouble.
