I'm curious what makes a profile good? Or actually, what is your top priority? What do you see as the most important things?

I'm no dating expert and not that attractive, but I like honesty in a profile. Sell yourself but in a genuine way.

The more pictures the better. Especially showing things you are interested in/do for a living. Plain selfies are fine and everything but more pictures gives people an idea of what kind of person you are.

A picture speaks a thousand words, as they say. For example, just off your avatar on here, I get the impression you'd be pretty upbeat and positive in real life, perhaps a bit quirky?

I also prefer pictures with no filters, for the most part.

Here's your advantage. You're a woman. 80% of Tinder is made up of male users. You benefit whether you make a lame bio or not. If men find you attractive, you'll have 99+ likes and beyond on your Tinder account. Myself, I averaged 3 to 5 likes a month. It was mostly women I wasn't attracted to or wouldn't return my messages. I met my current girlfriend on Tinder.

In the US, Tinder users skew heavily male. As of December 2019 it was estimated that 78.1% of Tinder users were male, compared to 21.9% female, according to stats published on Statista. In the UK, it was estimated by Ogury that 85% of the online dating market was male, as of April 2019.Oct 30, 2020

I haven't tried tinder yet, curious if I should.

Anyways, I say be honest, anything beyond that is asking for trouble.

To be honest, i don't really trust on dating profiles photos, all people just wanna sell themselves as "smiling and happy" people while they're possibly dealing with a delicate trauma by going over previous destructive relationships, as someone posted earlier.. i appreciate honesty over all things, i can't say that physical attraction is not important but in the long run the inside is far more important than that.

I don’t use online dating but if I did, it would be how the person projects theirselves online! It would matter if they came across as a good, genuine person or not.

Well, you're not wrong. I have run into a few women that look nothing like their pictures on Tinder or PoF. I don't think women or anyone else for that matter should be allowed to filter their pictures on dating websites because it's deceitful.

Tinder is a shitty dating site. It's filled with a lot of whores. There's no way you're getting any decent lady on that social media platform.

Personally speaking, I prefer to have the same avatar's photo and name when it comes to being recognized by our fellow writers on different earning sites. In this way, they can connect with you anytime of the day.
