Discord VS Reddit VS Forums

I've been on forums since 1995, they've been my primary and will continue to be until they're not a thing anymore. Discord I tolerate, but don't really enjoy, and the rest I ignore.

Agreed, it's fine for a quick message here and there, but I find it annoying to use for a long conversation or anything in-depth.

I use forums as my primary as I have control over data and discord for quick chats, the rest is just garbage.
Just my view
completely agree!

I use Facebook only because I've been on it for years anyway but I am not always on it and I use Snapchat to easily speak to friends.
The rest I don't care for.

Discord is ok for a quick chat but it will never replace forums.
I am not sure why people persist in saying Discord does, All the Gen Z's I use to say this and it's completely untrue.

Social media sites have impacted on forums for years now. Forums are suffering now as a result of Facebook and the rest of them. But I prefer my time on forums than on social media because it's always toxic out there unlike on forums. I use Discord too for my game chats.

Facebook has a rule where you are not allowed to add people that you've never met, Forums have an advantage as far as that goes.
Sites like Twitter and Reddit have definitely hit forums hard.

My generation and up uses Discord but I am also born in 95 which is the cusp so I use both forums and discord.

Even though most people aren't into using forums nowadays because of Facebook and the rest, it's still my favourite place to connect and discuss. I hardly use Discord.

Exactly the same, forums are just more...personable.

Forums have certainly been kneecapped thanks to facebook, discord and guilded, But they are still going, just not as strong as they once used to.
That's a fact.

A lot of forums have be blown into oblivion all because of those social media sites that you have mentioned and even more especially TikTok. I still use forums often and on.
