So far I made some money off my sites but it's not more than paying for the hosting and maybe some years for the renewal of the domain :S
What about y'all, any luck in the digital world?

The most I've ever made from a forum is when I sold a social/general one for $50. I have a creative arts forum now now that I've had since 2005. I definitely consider it more of a hobby than a side hustle.

Made nothing from websites, Even with ads and paid groups, made nothing from it. Even if I do get money from networks, it goes back onto the site to pay off the hosting bills and also to mention Forum licences.

Point saying that if you are willing to spend a good amount of money and keep it then it's 100% an hobbie :) just makes me sad that a hobby goes nowhere for me. End of the day it's hard to keep forums alive not alone making profit from it :p

I'm a hobbyist, but it would be interesting to earn a little bit from sites in the future. ^^

Just for fun. I have made a little bit from selling addons but we don't have paid memberships or ask for donations or anything like that. Activity is always preferred to money :D

I don’t make a penny from my website, it is very small and not far reaching. I would like to be able to turn a reasonable profit because I have some plans for the community that unfortunately would require monetary investment.

We have made a bit of money from DH thanks to ads (not present anymore) and premium membership sales. All of that has just been reinvested into the forum really. DH is a hobby for me. I don't think forums are the best way to make money really.

I make money from my websites by running Google Adsense. I also sell websites on flippa. I started building websites as a hobby but later turned it into a profession when I found that it was easier to earn from websites rather than spending time bidding jobs on freelance marketplce.
