Do you pirate software?

No. I'd be too afraid of downloading a virus or some other malware. I also understand all of the work and manpower it requires to create a reliable program everything from functionality to design. I don't mind paying money for software particularly if I anticipate that I will use it daily and it ultimately benefits me as a user.
Tbh, if you go to trustworthy sites that have an active community of reporting malware ridden software, it’s easily preventable. Though a lot of keygen software do trigger antivirus software.

Not trying to justify piracy, just trying to prevent misinformation.

I'm sure those communities exist I just don't participate in any myself.

I remember when you could buy that without having to pay a ridiculous monthly fee.
Its criminal.

Bloody subscription services. Way too many things online should be one time purchases but the greedy companies just want more money! I had to use a software to move my WhatsApp messages from Android to iOS and even that was a subscription service.

Nope but even if I did I surely wouldn't admit to it. :p I find free or cheap alternatives to stuff like Adobe Aftereffects and Photoshop. Gimp to me does a good enough job, and DaVinci Resolve is my go to video editor. I don't want to take the risk of getting a virus by downloading cracked software.

I don’t get why so many of you are saying “I wouldn’t admit to it”. Do you guys believe you’re going to get arrested or fined for it? The companies are more focused on the websites that are sharing the software rather than the people downloading it. It’s more realistic and cost-effective.

Similar to others on here, I sometimes download a pirate copy of a piece of software to try it for a few weeks before spending a huge amount of money on something that might not fit my needs.

Everything I actually keep and use I pay for a license for.

Like it or not, I have done it plenty of times. I feel having such option is sometimes necessary as we run out of the funds and can't buy everything online with limited funds. That's one reason I guess most people have to do the piracy as well.

I find myself in your shoes. However, the only software I ever illegally downloaded was phtoshop. When I was learning photoshop I did not have money to buy that expensive software, even the student edition was too expensive for me.

Only once. I downloaded a Need for Speed computer game via torrent. I later got a letter in the mail from my ISP. I was like "oh shit". My g/f was NOT pleased. hehe

I remember when Napster first developed and how it would take hours to download a couple of songs.
Napster was awesome. I still have mp3s I downloaded from there!
