What have you and your families done to get together celebrate events with each other during covid-19?

Something my family and I do is we have virtual family game night every saturday for 3ish hours. Been going for 8 or so weeks now and it is becoming a regular thing. Cost about $20 for a jackbox pack from Steam, and then we just skype and whoever is running the game shares their screen to the rest of the call. Then we all turn off our video and have no issues with bandwidth (even those running off of cell service, like my parents as they typically place from their cottage).

What about you? Have you guys done anything different this year to keep up with friends and family virtually?

Nothing different in the home, Just more boredness and less exciting things.Plenty of housework and whatnot. Glad that the internet and streaming services hasn't been down

Nothing much. On fathers day this year, I arranged a pick-nic for my Dad on our local heathland. My sister, grandparents, and mum came along too. Usually, we would dine out in a restaurant, but this wasn't possible at the time. Nonetheless, this doesn't us celebrating the occasion.

I got to sit down and have a takeaway with my family for the first time in a long time yesterday. Only other times I saw them we had to be outside and socially distance.

Did you guys have anything good?

Where I am now , am far from my family members , but when I do check up on them , they are either chating or playing ludo game .

Chinese. It was nice plus leftovers for dinner tonight.
I had a hankering for Chinese food last week and ordered it for dinner on Friday. It was delicious :p

My hubby and I haven't really changed so far. We still have to go to work (neither one of us have lost their jobs due to the pandemic). We may not get out as much as we use to (outside of work). We generally only leave the house when we have to go for necessities and whatnot and even then we make sure we wear a mask.

I wash my clothes when i get home, clean my shoes and masks.

We don't dinner together but on sundays we arrange a BBQ.

We have a whatsapp group to chat all day though.

We've had a family policy since the beginning of the whole thing to do stuff in small groups as a family. Mainly to make sure that stuff doesn't spread to everyone at the same time. The only siblings of mine that have gotten sick from Covid-19, have been those siblings that ignore doing things in small groups.

Nothing different really happened in the home, Just more boredom and less exciting things as we could not go out. Other than that I was cool at home
