Going to the doctor

What makes you nervous about going to the doctor?
My blood glucose levels... definitely, my father has diabetes and i'm afraid i'm gonna get it too..

I like to avoid going to see a doctor or into a clinic for the sole purpose of having to pay an over priced medical bill. Health Insurance doesn't cover everything. So I don't go unless I have no other choice but to go.

The other thing that makes me nervous is when they put you in an exam room and the doctor takes forever to finally come in the room.

My hubby doesn't like going to the doctor because he doesn't want them checking to see if his A1C has gone up or down. He has what the doctor calls "white coat syndrome".

I don't have a fear of doctors. I did when I was a kid but I don't now.

I just get nervous knowing I have to talk to people when I go to check in. I also usually have to wait a while for my doctor to see me.

I hate the smell of hospitals. I have anxiety whenever I'm at the hospital. It's usually why I have my doctor or nurse visit me at home even though it means that I'm paying more for their services.

When it comes to going to see my doctor, I only ever go if I really feel like I have to such as I know something isn't right with my health or I am so unwell I know I need some kind of help. The only thing that makes me nervous about going to the doctor is either forgetting to mention something or finding out some kind of bad news.
