How long was your longest relationship?

Can you share the secret? haha

It may sound cliche but communication is key ...and communication doesn't mean just talking but active listening and genuine exchange. It's important to never stop dating. Continuing to be curious to learn more about each other and going out of your way to spend time with each other. I don't know, I'm still learning. lol

12 years is great going and congratulations!
Thank you!

Thank you!
Seems fair, all my relationships ended because of lack of communication so i think you're totally right :)

I'm ashamed to admit that my longest relationship was only a couple of months. I couldn't fill the role I was being asked to fill, and so I had to end the relationships before they went too far. Makes you very lonely, but hopefully that'll change in time.

Good on you for realizing there was a problem and you needed to get out of the relationship. You're a kind and generous person and you deserve the same in return. One day, you'll meet the right person for you. Until then, keep your chin up and be very proud of who you are.

I hope I'll find someone one day, it isn't fun being lonely, but we'll see. I just know that I don't want to hurt another person, so when it's obvious it won't work, it's not fair to the other person to keep it going. You can usually tell fairly early in a relationship, in those cases it was extremely obvious because of who I was at that point in time.

Another thing that really helps a relationship IMO is that your partner should also be your best friend. I'm not simply dating in g/f. In fact, we spend 24/7 together and honestly, it never gets old. I am hardly ever bored, and there's always something going on. We laugh at funny, odd things. Constantly make jokes etc. If we due argue, I don't raise my voice (she does lol), but we can't stay mad more than an hour. :D

18 years and counting. :cat-jam:
