How much did your computer cost when you first purchased it?

I haven't had any issues with my Alienware that were deal breaking, the one problem I did have with it, I managed to fix by simply re-installing Windows. Other than that, it's been pretty solid. I'd buy another Alienware again. However, I went through THREE MSI gaming laptops in the span of a year 1/2, so I would definitely stay away from that brand in the future.

My friend has a MSI notebook since 2018 and he says he didnt have any issue at all, i wouldn't buy it either, i'd rather get an ASUS TUF instead.

My last MSI laptop lasted a week, it was pretty much DOA out of the box, noticed an issue right on first boot up but thought a few windows updates would fix it, as i had a freezing issue on my very first MSI laptop but after a windows update that went away, so I thought this would be the same, NOPE!

but yeah, Asus is good. I had 2, one of which wasn't really 'broke' but i didn't find the fix for the issue until after I got rid of it......my first Asus, which was the first gaming laptop I ever purchased, still works today.

I'm not really sure since the computer my hubby and I have is not really a pre-built computer. Instead, it is a computer my hubby built himself and I don't remember how much he spent on the different parts that make up the computer.

I spent a thousand dollars on my first laptop. It had windows XP. It lasted me 3 years. It got hit by lightning and after that everything went bad on it. I tried having it fixed. Had parts replaced on it. Still....it died.

Sadly our PCs lifetime is really short :( For daily duties i recommend a desktop.. for everything else a laptop :)

Yeah. I really destroyed that computer.I was young and had no idea how to take care of it. After all I was going on the web without an antivirus or firewall. I was using Limewire and downloading tons of music that had trojans and other malware. Of course I wondered why it crashed all of the time. Now I know why lol.

Wow nice build! What MOBO goes with that?

Allot of people here go with Laptops more than desktops. Gaming website means people should have gaming desktops related :p

Now with the new 3000 series cards are coming, anyone going to be doing upgrades?
