Usually I upgrade to a new computer around 6 years average. However, this Macbook Pro I've had since 2013 and it's still running strong. The only thing I've found myself having to do is deleting apps and files when it comes to upgrading to the latest update but... for the most part it still runs smoothly. If and when I do replace it I imagine it will be for another MacBook.

I think I kept my old laptop for around 3-4 years but the specs weren't great so it was a pretty easy decision to get rid of it and upgrade to my current one. I can't see myself upgrading for a long while though so I'll probably stick with this for around 6-8 years

Usually every three years or so - although, since my current (three-year-old) computer was more expensive, I'm hoping I can get at least a couple more years out of it!

Usually every 4 years or so but honestly I dont feel too arsed about doing a full build for my next one, I'll probably just upgrade the graphics card and call it a day.

Usually when my computer gets too slow to do anything productive and starts freezing on my stuff when I push it too hard. Or when the computer doesn’t support OS updates.

We go as long as we can. Only when it's dying do we replace it. Example: We got our newer one due to our old one revving constantly. Went to the computer shop a couple of times to change a few things but only was a band-aid. For us, it's when it can't be fixed any longer.

Every 5 years. Unless it breaks down and is not worth fixing before then.

To steal a phrase -- I'll ride mine until the wheels fall off! I had my previous computer for only 6 years, but the one before that I had for over a decade. I built the one I'm using now last year, it's nothing amazing, but it works for me and will do for a good while, plus I can add more memory or a better GPU if need be down the road. Whatever I can do to keep it going.

Honestly, when my performance feels too slow and at least 5 years have passed

(I buy a high end pc every 5-7 years and just forget about upgrading it)
