Max amount you'll spend on a phone?

I typically wouldn’t pay it all up front. I’d take advantage of one of those interest free services that allow you to do a monthly payment plan. I typically upgrade my phone every 2-3 years, and I try to buy the best iPhone available at the time. That means spending like $1200 on a phone.

That's a LOT of money.

This, except I get the base model iPhone, and I do it every 3-4 years. I get the base model, because I don’t do anything that necessitates the price difference between the base model and the pro model.

Outside of phone stuff, I just take basic pictures, browse the web, play music in my car, and YouTube/social media apps, so I don’t feel the need to spend a few hundred extra on features I don’t use/need.

I’m sure I don’t take advantage of any of the extra features of the iPhone Pro, but it’s enticing just to have the option to use them. :p

If it was a negligible price difference I would, but when it’s a few hundred, then it’s a hard pass for me.

I have some expensive hobbies, so that few hundred could be better spend on those.

Same.

Maybe I’ll be smarter about it this time around. I’ve just really wanted to splurge these last two phones I’ve gotten.

I don't think that I can do more than $200 on a phone at a time. In my country, that is really a high price to pay for a phone already. A good android phone should be available for that price generally.

My last phone cost me $350. Before that I had never spent that kind of amount on a phone. Now, I need a replacement and the one that I am thinking to buy costs around $400. I don't buy flagship phones.
