If you are going to start a new project what it will be. I think i will settle down with a Blog instead of Forum. As i love to try writing and sharing content with users i will go with Blog.

The project I just started is a forum and I'm in the process of investing my time and money into it currently. I like forums more than blogs but I also have a blog I made (mainly for school).

Blogs are difficult but they can be a very fun project if you have the right niche. My newest project is, of course, this discussion board. I've invested quite a bit of money into it, the next step is dedicating a lot more time.

Yeah Xenforo+Plugin+Theme license costs add up fast for sure, time will help you get some sort of return on your investment though :)

Yep. It didn't help that since I'm from the UK I had to pay VAT which brought it up to $190 just for XF o_O. But I am pretty happy with it. It's a great forum software.

I have an expired xenforo license. I think I just need to pay the reactivation/activate subscription for another year,

Wow I forget we have it really good here in the United States when it comes to taxation.

$65 to renew instead of the usual $160 so it's a pretty sweet deal :)

I love blogs and had couple that were pretty successful until I moved away from wanting to really own/run anything. But now that I'm back, I decided to work on a roleplaying forum again. I have always found a lot of enjoyment with roleplaying and decided that if I was coming back to forums, that was what I wanted to do. I could have joined another one and tried to get on the staff, but I wanted to have something of my own again and I'm happy I did it.

I used to have a couple of blogs as well. Most recently had one that was a webmaster based blog and also a money-making one. It's not an easy job at all to run a blog and honestly, I don't miss it. Like you, I took a bit of a break after that to not run anything myself but have returned recently with Discussion Hub. Just wanted to have something that I could call my own.

My blog is just for my personal thoughts. It's been going since 2005 and I care not if anyone reads it. I find writing cathartic. Getting my thoughts out helps me understand them. https://alsarcastic.com

Forums though, I love them. Just started one and planning another.

It really depends on what I decide to take up next, just to stay busy. There is a website that I have ownership over, that I need to convert to a blog, or vastly update the pages to current coding standards. I am not looking forward to editing the code, so I might just be porting it all over to a blog soon.
