We once had a projector and it was awesome to be able to use an entire wall as the screen. We ended up gifting it to me mother-in-law. Sometimes I wonder about getting one but I imagine I wouldn't really want one unless we have a dedicated theatre room or something.

They have a lot of advantages to them. A key advantage of projectors for home entertainment is that screen size can be configured to any size, large or small, that you desire. What’s even better is that projector screens, regardless of their size, are not permanent.

Should you buy a 40-inch television, and are unhappy with that choice down the line, the only option is to buy a new one. With projectors, the hardware is not bound to the external surface, therefore the screen size is infinitely customizable.

When I was younger I wanted to get a projector so I could take it outside, and play video games and watch movies. Now I don't think I'd ever get one since the picture quality is low. Maybe some retro games would look kind of cool on a projector. The giant big screen tvs were actually projector televisions, I actually just learned that about a year or two ago. :V I never knew that growing up. xD

I agree that quality usually isn't as great as a regular TV. I must say though sharing an 8 foot wall while playing a split screen game was AMAZING.

I agree with you, Sharon. I think something like this would be nice to have but I'd have to have a designated spot for this and I don't have one in my house.

I wouldn’t use one for everything but it would be fun for certain occassions and for certain films. Being able to project some games onto the wall would be quite cool too!
