Sony is coming out with the PS5 Pro. Are you getting it or are you going to pass on it?

The biggest factor around a potential PS5 Pro for many people will be what price tag PlayStation attaches to it.

The current PS5 costs £450 / $499 / €499 but is still hard to come by so there are more than enough gamers happy to pay the top whack for one.

That and considering the PS4 Pro consistently sat at around £100 / $100 / €100 more than the base PS4 for their respective lifespans, suggests you could be expected to cough up a similar amount more.

Looks like I have plenty of time to save up for it:

Electronics company TCL attended a conference in Poland and in a presentation, said that it expects a "PS5 Pro" and "new Xbox Series X|S" to arrive sometime between 2023 and 2024.

Probably not, unless they had a very special trade-in offer. I've always just stuck with the base versions of consoles.

I don't see how they can come out with pro consoles so quick when there's chip shortages preventing them from making enough PS5 consoles now. They're so high in demand, this is the worst I've ever seen when it came to supply and demand with a gaming console. I thankfully already have a PS5, so I don't feel the need to upgrade when the pro comes out.

I will probably get it when the hype dies down and there are ample in stock. Once upon a time I would be one of the ones in line to grab one of the first releases but those days are behind me. :)
