What's the coolest object you've randomly just found? Where did you find it?

I didn’t find it on the ground, per say, but I did find it underwater. I was on a rafting trip down the Delaware River with my family, and as we were cruising along, we got to some rather shallow water (~1m). I decided to flip around on the raft and stare at the riverbed as the water was completely clear. After a few minutes of doing this, I saw a rather large, dark, shiny object. I instantly hopped out of the raft to inspect, and what do you know: a Samsung Galaxy S7 (this was the year it had come out). I fished it out of the river and began to inspect it when I noticed there was a case on it. The only logical thing to do at that point was to take the case off an see if I could get the ports dry—and that’s when I found surprise number two. Tucked into the case was a crisp, clean, completely dry $100.00 bill. I was ecstatic! Given we didn’t know who’s property it was, I kept the money for myself. However, as I’m a devout iPhone user my father got an upgrade and was able to use the phone. So, I guess the moral of this story is that sometimes, you’ll find things where you least expect them.

I found a MontBlanc pen on a train once. I did give it to lost property at the station when I arrived though, kind of wishing I hadn't.

Yeah, the lost and found people probably go through the stuff at the end of the week and take what they want because it's unclaimed.
Maybe, I just know that I would have missed it and called the train station first to see if I had lost it there or on the train, and assumed that someone else would do the same.

I once found an envelope with a bunch of $1 bills with a card that said Happy Birthday Johnny have a great time. I went to a local social app called Nextdoor and mentioned the envelope witch cash but didn't specify the amount or note. No one claimed it so over time I used the cash to give away to panhandlers and fundraisers.

I found a brand new PSP in perfect condition just thrown away in the dirt road as a kid and man that was super exciting as a kid.
This was me when I found it:

This was me when my mom made me donate it. After a couple of days I thought about it and accepted it. I was happy I did it. I made some kid super happy and

I've lost my keys on a train once and also an umbrella once, and both times I got them back.

You're so lucky! I've lost my wallet twice and got it back both times. One time was in a small town in New Hampshire and someone had actually turned in into the local police (who does that?!) The other time was in a walmart cart and I guess someone turned it in customer service because it was there. I never found anything missing either.

Money, i found a wallet with over 200$ worth once. I bought so many games with them!

I've actually done that once. I found some car keys in the sand on the beach and was wondering what to do with them but noticed that there was a little police station just across the road. I have no idea if anyone came to claim them but I felt good about it.

My husband had once found a wad of bills in a rubber band and he had turned it into the Walmart customer service desk. (We were only dating at the time.) He confessed not feeling exactly great about it because there's nothing keeping the staff from keeping it for themselves. I told him that's on them but that spoke volumes to me about his character.

Found a ring in the 7/11 parking lot. I kept the ring and put a small ad in our local paper. Since the ring is engraved on the back, the caller (if any) saying the ring is theirs, will need to tell me what the engravement says before I meet them and return the ring.
