This summer, all the rules are broken as a sect of lawless marauders decides that the annual Purge does not stop at daybreak and instead should never end in The Forever Purge. Vaulting from the record-shattering success of 2018’s The First Purge, Blumhouse’s infamous terror franchise hurtles into innovative new territory as members of an underground movement, no longer satisfied with one annual night of anarchy and murder, decide to overtake America through an unending campaign of mayhem and massacre. No one is safe.

In theaters July 2nd

You can just feel the political tension emanating from their bodies. They are legitimately running for their lives from endless torment... and you just know the only thing they're shopping for is to lecture the audience on non-existent struggles, I've been waiting for this trailer for a while, glad it's out now. This is differently a different writer, with a different vision.

About time we get a new movie. I hope it's way better then "The First Purge" because that one sucked. I liked the first 3. I hope this one is good.

It certainly is an interesting twist to the usual trope for this film series. Be interesting to see how the whole film plays out, definitely be watching it in theater or renting it.

Me and my girlfriend went and saw it Saturday. IT was way better then "The First Purge" and it had the feel of Anarchy and Election Year. We loved it! It was amazing. I hope they make another one and soon!

You didn't find it annoying with the clear, underlying political message? I would have been happy if it had just been people wanting to purge forever, free of constraints of society. Nope. Definitely not the message I got from it.

I don’t really get the movies logic at politics. The First Purge was already as subtle as a nuclear bomb with a bunch of people dressed as police officers beating a black guy to death.

I didn’t understand the Mexico bit either, but I think the idea was to show that they were forced to retreat to the land that they fled from because America is even worse.

The idea of the film is totally unrealistic as with a shoot on sight order the military would have shut down all the forever purgers almost right away.

Just an awful film all around. Demanoco should have stopped after Anarchy and let someone else take over, the original idea from what I’ve heard would have been miles better than this.

No. I guess I didn't. What was the political message you got from it?

They were pushing the anti-minority/ white supremacy rhetoric

I noticed that. They did Neo Nazi's in the Election Day as well. I guess they want the audience to see the New Founding Fathers as White Nationalists. I am aware that the NFFA was against the Forever Purge. But I do think the Forever Purge was something that the NFFA probably put on the media. Because it was stated by Big Daddy in Anarchy that people weren't killing enough.

  • Big Daddy : We found your car Sergeant. Your plates told us who you were. It was easy to see where you were headed tonight. Hell, I would've done the same thing. The unwritten Purge rule: don't save lives. Tonight we take lives. We make things manageable. Unfortunately the citizens aren't killing enough. So we supplement it all to keep things balanced. It's important work the NFFA does and we can't have any interference. We can't have heroes... oh no sir... no heroes. I hope you feel cleansed. Blessed be America, a nation reborn.
