The most depressing game

Red Orchestra 2, never have I felt so much sadness after hearing an enemy bleeding out, crying out for his mother, it still haunts me today.

I think the most depressing game I've ever played is LISA: The Painful

Doom. After fighting an army of demons and horrible creatures, you're blamed for space crimes and go to jail, even though the storyline is "writtten" you think about how unfair life is sometimes.

I can't think of a game specifically that is depressing.

The only games that would be depressing to me though would be the ones that I would finish too quickly.

Final Fantasy VII, I'm sure if you've played it before you know exactly why it's the most depressing game I've played. I never finished the game, but I did make it to the end. I don't like the changes they made to the VII Remake though, so I don't know if I'll ever get around to beating the game once the full remake is out. :\

Pretty sure I played it from start to finish in 48 hours. I was younger though, so probably didn’t sleep much ?
A co-worker played it and said it's an amazing mystery with a crazy plot twist. I'm torn as to whether or not I want to play this as I don't want to feel depressed after.

Never played it myself but from what I understand the House of Fata Morgana is super depressing and just has a bunch of traumatizing shit happening to everyone, lol.
I never played it either after reading what the players of this visual novel had to say after playing it.
