Ok, that's pretty easy, I always type without staring at the keyboard or the reply vbox, I'm usually concentrating on what I'm responding TO for the stream of consciousness aspect of it.

Ooh, I did good lol I even added in uppercases to throw me off.
I too tend to type without looking. I learned to type many, MANY years ago & can type faster than I can write it in handwriting.

Yeah, typing from quite a young age has helped me quite a bit actually. I'm not typing this with my eyes closed at the moment but I am staring at the forum header. Typing on a different laptop or desktop would completely throw me off though.

Since I use the touch typing method, I would assume the pace would be the same. What do you think?

I have actually tried to do that one time and I ended up typing full rubbish, so I'm so sorry I won't be doing it all over again and have myself disgraced all over again ?.

I'm having a go at this right now, I think that actually I am typing faster with my eyes closed than I do with them open because I am not proofreading the words I have just written at the same time as I am writing the next one. It feels like it is going ok so far, maybe there is a typo somewhere but there can't be too many of them. I would struggle a lot more if there were a lot of numbers and symbols involved as I think that I probably do look at the keys a bit when I am typing those.

That is how I always type which is called touch typing

That's exactly how I learned, too, they would even cover our hands with paper or something similar so we couldn't see the keys. Helped a lot!

It is obvious for me I type faster with my eyes open. I can't even type with my eyes closed
