I heard about bitcoin in 2014. I earned my first bitcoin in 2016. However, until the end of 2020, I never thought about investing in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. However, when I began reading news on how people were getting rich with cryptos, I started investing. Sadly, my investment is not giving good returns. But I am still hopeful that one day, I will be able to earn well from crypto investment.

I'm torn. I think it has great potential, but 99% of the coins you see out there are complete garbage and worthless.

I think eventually it will become a sizable portion of our economy, but the coin that will dominate likely hasn't been created yet. We are still looking at a bunch of almost useless test case currencies. They are not scalable, they are not regulated and they are not a functional replacement for standard currency at this point.

The unregulated aspect of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are what the general public understands the best. They realize that the government struggles to interact with it, due to it’s “sovereign” nature (it doesn’t rely on centralized structure).

Many don’t necessarily see the lack of regulation as a bad thing. You may lose money if you’re not careful, and your balance isn’t backed by the FDIC, but maybe someday this may change. For now just be smart about what you’re doing and regulation shouldn’t interfere with your cryptocurrency usage.

I know some people from FP who made a lot of money investing in crypto. I think they lost a portion of it soon after but if investments are considered long term, then you sometimes have to stick it out and know that there will be ups and downs.

As an aside, I have been doing a bit of research and some services such as the DDoS attackers only accept crypto. Interesting.

I've received several donations for my site via Bitcoin. It was pretty cool. I use Coinbase, but it's not the most easily navigated site. lol

I use coinbase and Robinhood. I don’t have much crypto on coinbase anymore, but I do own some Shiba on robinhood.

How’s your crypto doing? I plan on buying more soon.

I haven't bought any yet, but may get some Bitcoin, like $100 worth and see what happens! I have a Coinbasae Crypto Visa so that helps as I can directly use the balance if I happen to make money.

What's my view? I wish I would have gotten into it and stayed in it back in the day. Crypto (primarily Bitcoin) was discussed pretty frequently on forums I was on, but I really didn't start taking it seriously until around the start of COVID.

Despite learning about Bitcoin in 2014, I did not start investing an holding Bitcoin and other altcoins until the beginning of Covid. In 2020 I was on a couple of forums that paid with crypto and managed to earn decent amount of crypto. One of the reasons why I am active on forums is because I get an opportunity to earn crypto.

I believe that crypto would go a long way to define the world's financial system in the long term. It would be the framework that a greater percentage of international payment would be done.

I am in support of crypto. It is a universal payment system that is quite inclusive to all citizens of the world. I believe the support it is getting from ordinary people would help it survive against the whims of various national governments.
