Why do certain people seem to misplace items more frequently than others?

As far as I could remember, I was always absent-minded when I was in high school. My father used to scold me for being this way at that time. I cannot explain to him that I am so focused on my studies.

For some reason, it is most likely to happen. As for me, I was so diligent and studious during my school days.

It has all to do with their memory. With a sharp memory there is no scope for misplacing things.
