Will the political parties in the US ever go beyond a 2 party system?

It would be nice if things moved beyond party politics, but it seems that's unlikely to happen anytime soon.

I wonder if there could be a potential split of the Republican Party if Trump were to lose the election, separating the traditional Republicans and the MAGA Republicans. If he wins, that definitely wouldn't happen though.

I was actually thinking about the Democrats splitting because there are a huge group of men who don't want a woman president just yet?

I don’t think a female president would have anything to do with the Democrats splitting. If they do split, it would be over whether they should target the working class or alienating them because their votes allegedly “don’t matter”.

If you look at how both female candidates lost, their gender isn’t brought up (well unless you go onto some ultra biased source). It’s their policies and who they campaigned towards

I suppose I've heard some different things though concerning their gender. There are still a lot of people not ready for a female candidate to win and some of that is the age culture, but also they think about who could help keep us safe from our enemies?

While I’m not denying those people exist, there’s a significantly higher percentage that didn’t vote for them because of their policies than gender. A lot of the analysis of why they lost don’t bring up their gender and go into their campaign, and policies. Those had a significantly bigger effect on the result.

I have noticed that people pulling the gender blame also have zero criticism over how the DNC conducted itself or their policies, so they just go for the easy way out. “I can’t be wrong, they’re the problem”.

Though when they do bring up gender, they do tie it to how Democrats are heavily associated with identity politics, and how they focus heavily supporting women, minorities, and LGBT people, but ignore or place community guilt upon men, particularly white men. So with that being part of the MO for several years, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the majority of the ignored demographic doesn’t vote for them and went for the candidate that paid attention to them.

It’s like people in your workcenter invites everyone at work to regular get togethers all the time except Josh. Well it shouldn’t be surprising that Josh feels left out and doesn’t like talking to anyone at work if he’s always ignored and wants to hang out with Bill all the time because Bill is the only one who talks to him.
