Wireless Charging for cell phone

It’s less energy efficient, and if you get a 10W charger, it’ll take hours, but that’s rectified with a 20W charger. Other than that, the differences are negligible for either or.

I have one next to my bed, and it’s nice to just plop it on there.

Our new truck has the option, but our phones are too old to use it. I tried to tell my husband it's time for new phones, but he said he'll do it when his company forces him to upgrade. Oh yay.

I really want to know the technology that drives wireless charging. I have never seen or used one. Is it a sensor or Bluetooth that connects the ports to the charger?

I have no idea really. I think it's cool and something I'd like because the charging ports sometimes get messed up on phones and with wireless, you don't have to worry about that.

It’s closer to a sensor, but it falls under electromagnetics. The charger and the back of your phone are both magnets, and when the magnets connect, it creates a charge.

I prefer wireless charging, but the one charger I had that allowed for it no longer works properly, so it's wired charging for me only. I might get another one someday when I have the money to.

My last two phones have had wireless charging as an option, but it's not something I use too much. I've bought a couple different wireless chargers, and none of them have charged my phone as quickly as my lightning to USB-C charger.

You probably got the 10W wireless charger than a 20W. Makes a huge difference in charge times.
