Yeah... its honestly kind of sad cause my first went the same way lots of empty servers and only the most dedicated players are still around.
 
Mine was SA-MP (San Andreas Multiplayer) it was a mod for playing GTA San Andreas online. I was hooked on it for years. Eventually I would play some good old TF2 that was always fun.

Niiice! I think I used to actually look at the forum of that game. I used to get curious what the gang culture was like there.

I was quite active on thier forums back in 2011 and 2012. The place was toxic, the senior members just kept stepping on the newbies. But the game was pretty fun.

Did anyone ever play Farmville or Pet Society on facebook back in the days?

Oh really? Damn kind of a shame. I would have hated the community if it was how you describe.
Nah I don't use facebook lol.
 
My first online game was when Call of Duty Black Ops II came out on Xbox 360. I realized that there was an option to play online, I didn't know what to expect, but I gave it a go and I absolutely loved it. This changed my overall gaming experience for me.

When did you start Club Penguin? I don't remember the exact year but I remember there was a sort of medieval party going on and I got this lovely wizard hat.
