I have a Macbook Pro - I bought it used back in 2014.

What kind of computer do you have? How often do you change devices?

I have a custom built gaming PC. It's nice to be able to control the quality of the parts that go in it. ^^

Prebuilts are probably more economical at the moment, though, but they sometimes skimp on parts that are actually quite important, like the power supply.

My dad gave me his Dell OptiPlex 7050 a few years ago. So far, it works great so I see no need to replace it anytime soon.

I mostly use a laptop that's probably 7 years old? Maybe 6? I don't even remember. Since I don't put a lot of software on except for some graphic programs I don't make too many changes to it and it has sufficient amount of memory and hard drive. For now.

I have an HP from 2017 I think. It works well, but needs malware protection and some tune-up program. Nonetheless, a better idea is to get a new one when I get the cash.

I have many computers laying around. I have two on my desk at the moment. Asus X555LA Laptop that I had for 5 years now as for everyday use, basic browsing and whatnot. No point in having a desktop on just for that and wasting power.

Then my custom built PC that I built myself :) that had an upgrade last year with a new CPU And motherboard. All I wish now is a better GPU or maybe @Laifot will give me that 3080 :p

CPU: i7-10700K 5.2GHz
STORAGE: 1.5TB SSD, 3TB HDD
MB: Asus ROG Strix Z490-E
GPU: 1660TI 6gb OC Edition
RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200Mhz Vengeance

It's a custom built machine I put together back in 2019. Rn it has a 3900x & Radeon VII and I'm planning on upgrading the CPU to a 5900x in the new year. Don't really need it but I'll be able to swap CPUs in my server as a result, which would be great as the CPU in that machine is degraded :p

Everyone has a fancy custom-built machine and here I am, with a normal HP laptop.

I have an HP Envy x360 laptop. Touchscreen as well which I absolutely love. You can convert it into a tablet by pushing the screen backwards and folding it, but I barely use that function.

Tbh I always found touchscreen laptops useless for me. It’s one of those things I use a couple of times in the beginning, and then never again.

Also most convertible laptops are never good at being tablets and just want you to get an actual tablet even more. Windows has gotten better with touchscreen support, but it still expects you to have a mouse/trackpad and a keyboard.

I would have to agree! My work computer is touch screen but most of the time I forget that it is.

Agree with you 100% on the tablet aspect. I don't use it at all really and I'm still not used to the fact that you can just bend the screen backwards without it being an issue.

I do use the touch screen from time to time, to be fair. I didn't realise how much I used it until I started using my work laptop which isn't touch screen. Tapping the screen multiple times until you remember it's not touch is always funny ?

I also got a Macbook Pro, from 2015 (getting a bit old, it affects most on the battery and the perfomance if you're doing few things at the same time)

My Dell OptiPlex 7050 is now making noise. I think it's probably the fan. Now I have to decide to either spend money replacing the fan or just go and get a new pc.
