Are hobbies a waste?

Most of us have hobbies. As long as one is financially independent I suppose one can indulge in one's hobbies but that may not be the case when time is spent to earn money that is required for one's survival.

It isn’t the most financially sound thing all the time, but if you’re enjoying it, enjoy it. You can’t take money with you.

I love having hobbies!! I'm never bored and I find it satisfying to accomplish things through my skills. I love doing arts and crafts of all sorts, I love to hike, I love to sing, play the flute, so many things.
