How long have you been into message boards?
Now that's a doozy. I'd say probably since I was about 15. Maybe 14. I'm 31 now. Jesus. Just typing that I'm 31 makes me feel old.
What was the first community you joined?
PlayStation Official forums. Back then they closed the message boards at 9pm.
Why did they close the message boards at 9 PM?
I think that's when the staff logged off for the night. Not entirely sure.
Do you think that's a good thing communities now should replicate?
No, as different time zones mean certain users miss out. And it will put off new users.
How do you deal with slow days on your community?
Just try to advertise more but unfortunately slow days on my forum are most days.
What's your selling point, what makes your community unique?
Freedom of Speech. The only rules are the providers TOS. Far to many websites ban or remove unpopular opinions.
Have you been forced to take a stance on any major issues on your community?
In what way? Like taking sides in an argument or?
Exactly. How do you handle threads where people want to discuss current major social events in the world?
I just let people get on with it. If insults start flying I just ask people to use the ignore feature. Very rarely will I lock a thread.
